Saving The Big Day: Why A Prepared DJ Is Key

I live by the Eagle Scout motto of “Be Prepared.” I’m always thinking five steps ahead, have plenty of extra equipment with me and am available to lend a helping hand. In the past month, I’ve worked three weddings that would not have been able to proceed if I didn’t do the above.

Luckily, I’m a creative problem solver and pride myself on my preparedness so my clients can focus on what really matters: their wedding! A few recent instances:

1. Ten minutes before the ceremony was supposed to start, the keyboardist (who was going to provide sound for the ceremony) realized they didn’t bring any speakers, cords, etc. Guess who had extras?

2. A couple decided last minute to extend their photographer so they could capture their send off. The photographers flash was dead at this point in the evening. Guess who had AA batteries that allowed the photographer to capture that unforgettable moment?

3. A ceremony guitarist only had a short extension cord that wouldn’t work with the location of the venue’s power and sound. Guess who had an extra long extension cord?

When you hire professionals, this is the level of service you should expect. I always have the big picture in mind. You not only hire us for our talent, but for our foresight to avoid any potential pitfalls. At the end of the day, all of your vendors want the same thing: for you to have an amazing celebration and not to have to worry about a single thing.
