Why I Don’t Offer A Bunch of Additional Services

“Can we book additional services through you?” is a question I’m asked a lot. While I do offer a few select upgrades, I purposely don’t offer tons of extras. Many couples are surprised because some larger entertainment companies tout themselves as a “one stop shop” and will sell you on practically anything and everything under the sun.

I intentionally don’t offer these extras because I want to ensure my entire focus is on the music, timeline, and flow of your event. For most wedding vendors, the majority of the work is performed prior to the big day (think: planners, florists, stationary & signage, etc.). While I also do a ton of prep for each wedding, I don’t plan my specific sets in advance because it’s impossible to predict what the mood will be and how people will respond. As an expert DJ, I mix everything custom in the moment. When I’m DJing, my focus is on reading the room, utilizing my extensive knowledge of music to pick what to play next and then seamlessly transitioning between songs to create a perfectly balanced soundtrack. It’s nearly impossible to do all of this while also simultaneously managing other aspects of services. Some DJs might be able to multitask once they press play on a generic wedding playlist, but I prefer to give my undivided attention and energy to creating a unique and unforgettable experience

If you’re interested, I can add uplighting, provide additional microphones and speakers, arrange for a musician such as a saxophone player and/or drummer, and hook you up with a CO2 blaster! Otherwise, you’ll just find me DJing and keeping the dance floor packed.
