Winning the Best Entertainment Allies Award!

Last May, I had the honor of MCing the Allie Awards. For anyone not familiar, these are pretty much the Oscars for the Georgia event industry. I never turn down an opportunity to go back to my roots. Many might not know that over the last 15+ years, I’ve done everything from be a radio DJ in Philly to a MTV VJ. MCing holds a special place in my heart. There's just something about the challenge of being the voice of an event that invigorates you.

This year, I was fortunate enough to not only be nominated for, but also win the Best Entertainment Under $10K! award. This means more to me than you could ever know. When my fiancé and I decided to move from California to Atlanta, there were a lot of unknowns and it was a huge leap of faith. Atlanta is a close knit community filled with friendly people who exude hospitality. This was something we craved and one of the main reasons why we decided this was the right place for us. However, starting a business from scratch in a new market doesn’t come without its challenges. The events industry and people of Atlanta have wholeheartedly welcomed, embraced, championed and supported my business.

As if this night could have been any better, I also had the opportunity to DJ the Allies After-party. Many of the DJs in attendance shared positive feedback on my set and how everyone was dancing the whole time. This was certainly a night to remember!
