My Atlanta Residency: Tesserae

I’m excited to announce my residency at Tesserae, an exclusive members-only social club in Atlanta located within the luxurious Thompson Buckhead hotel. There is a big difference between playing weddings and a social club. People come to Tesserae to have an experience, listen to the music, vibe and enjoy the ambiance. Weddings are really focused more on the taste of the couple and making a memorable experience for them and their guests.

When I’m DJing at Tesserae, I have full creative freedom. I can’t remember the last time I played five hours straight of exactly what I wanted. I practice a ton in my home studio but having the crowd present to read their response and body language is a game changer. I love being able to experiment with new unfamiliar songs and play music that I wouldn’t regularly get to include in my sets. As a DJ, the ability to flex your creative muscles in new ways is essential to growing and evolving.

Playing at Tesserae has reminded me of my previous residency at the Sunset Edition in West Hollywood. Although these locations are on opposite ends of the country, it’s incredible to see the power that music has to bring people together.
